Sam Thein is a potter out of Stillwater, Minnesota. He began doing pottery almost 3 years ago as a sophomore in high school. Sam recently graduated from Mahtomedi High School and will attend Saint John's University this fall to Major in Art. His passion is throwing vases and making functional pots on the potter’s wheel. He works to create unique pieces that draw attention and add to the beauty of a home.

Sam spends much of his free time at the White Bear Lake Center for the Arts where he aspires to improve his skills and creativity. Sam finds working with clay to be challenging, therapeutic and rewarding. He loves to talk to anyone who wants to learn more about his pieces or pottery in general.
